Blog 3.1: What I Tried To Write Last Time…

I’m sitting here in my office, rather, the kitchen of my parent’s house, reflecting upon time. Where has it gone? It’s not like I can think back to a specific time, remember the ensuing weeks, and not be quite sure of the details. I can’t remember a thing, a start point, an end point, nothing. My brain is completely wack.

But nevertheless, I feel wiser. I spent the last month conducting my own version of the Marsh Chapel experiment, and I’ve come out the other side more insightful. What I’ve learned is 1) I do not quite fit in anywhere, for good or ill… 2) Friends can turn to foes without you or them knowing it… and 3) my blog, THEMarrack.com, once misconstrued as a failure, is in fact the most original and unique blog on the net.

And so, it’s back to drawing boards for me. Time to take what I’ve learned and apply it to my writing. No more philandering. No more watching Dexter on a Tuesday night. No more running around the city looking for adventures. It’s read and write time, goddammit, and as far as I can tell, I’m inspired. The only (prevailing) problem is now I have to go to the tennis club, and by the time I come home I’ll be too tired and spent to channel any more passion onto the page…

What a pity…

Here are some written pieces to be published in the coming weeks:

-    more Exclaim! reviews, film and music
-    a series of fictional journal entries for a so far untitled British zine that was to be sold at the Nottingham Zine Fair
-    a DisRESPECT. feature on Rihanna appearing in Battleship (the film)
-    my autobiography for $14.95 at Chapters

But now I’m dreaming again…
